You must use alternative contraception or have no intercourse at all. Day20 to Day 32 is again safe to practice sex. This method is applicable to only those women whose menstrual cycle is between 26-32 days.

However, there are some couples who are at a loss sometimes when using this method because they are not very much knowledgeable on when is the right time to have intercourse without fear of getting pregnant. Or when is the fertile period of a woman to observe abstinence or to use other form of contraceptive like condom to avoid the prospect of the woman getting pregnant.

Every woman's cycle is slightly different, and for the most part it is the first portion of the cycle, prior to ovulation that will differ the most. The first part can vary from 13 to 20 days long, while the last half is usually the same, about 14 days from ovulation to the start of the menstrual flow.
